About the Gallery: The two-floor gallery is located in the beautiful heart of Chelsea. It is part of the three Proud Galleries around London, with two others, one in Camden, one near Charing Cross. The nearest tube stations are Sloane Square and South Kensington.

About the Artist: Dorothy Bohm was born in 1924 - twenty-two years later she opened her first gallery in Manchester. Throughout her career as a photographer she travelled to and lived in various different countries around the world. Although she experimented with colour films quite early, she preferably used black and white as colours for her photographs.

About the Exhibition: Sixties in London consists of a good selection of the amount of pictures Dorothy Bohm has taken during her life in the 60s in London. Most of the pictures included everyday life situations of people in different places across London. You can see children walking around Primrose Hill or men sitting on Trafalgar Square.
Her photographs are great! Not only as a collection of photographs, but also each one of them as a single piece tells an interesting story. Bohm has a great eye for people and surroundings. The pictures and the motives look quite modern despite the fact that they were taken around 50 years ago.
